A Lido 14’s long aluminum boom design under pressure bends quite a bit. This makes sail control challenging and a boom stiffener will significantly reduce the bending. In addition, a boom stiffener will increase the life of the boom and decrease the possibility of breakage. Boom stiffeners come ready to install with a compression cut already in place.
